set checklist start date without scheduling

will it be possible to set a checklist's start date (or something like a bulk change for due dates?) while using the 'Create & Run New Checklist' option? i know it's possible to do using schedules, but it generates unnecessary instances if i only want to run a checklist once but starting in a week not today (i'm relying on due dates a lot). plus it doesnt show tasks if it hasnt started yet, which makes sense but makes planning harder so the perfect solution would be run checklist now but bulk change due dates as if it started in ie a week, does that make sense? cheers!
