Mark Task Done via API
Dear Checkflow support, we are currently evaluating whether Checkflow would be useful for our business's needs. We have some complex processes that involve dozens of users in multiple sites, and modeling them in an application such as this would help decrease our business's communication overhead. (We have already made an attempt to introduce a BPM tool two years ago, but the project was abandoned - hence this old account.) We think Checkflow would be excellent for our use cases, except for one problem: we have a lot of tasks that users have to complete in external systems, or that users cannot reliably complete themselves, because the "task" is actually to wait for a particular event to happen. Having the users repeatedly check themselves whether the event has occured would offer no benefit over our current paper-based solutions. Therefore, when the event happens, we would like to mark the waiting task as done and to progress to the next task on a checklist automatically. These events happen in or are detected by services that we run and deploy ourselves, and that do support webhooks. Therefore, we would like to make a REST call to Checkflow to mark the respective task as done. Unfortunately, Checkflow's current REST API does not seem to allow this. The API allows for comments to be added or for a task to be edited, but it does not appear to provide an endpoint to mark the task as done. Have we maybe missed this feature in the API description, or would it be possible for you to add it? Thank you in advance!
